Special Care Home Champion Hub

Getting started with SPA-LTC is simple. Follow these three steps to connect your Special Care Home with SPA-LTC and access education and resources to support a palliative approach to care.

Step 1. Connect with SPA-LTC

Let us know your Special Care Home is interested in participating by contacting spa-ltc@unb.ca.

We’ll provide your home with the information you need to participate.

Step 2. Organization Consent Form

Review the SPA-LTC Information Sheet and complete the Organization Consent Form. Once signed, return the form to spa-ltc@unb.ca.

Step 3. Access SPA-LTC Education

Attend an in-person or virtual education session when sessions are available. Upcoming sessions will be posted on the Upcoming Education Sessions page.

Create an account on SPALTC.ca to access online SPA-LTC education modules. Online education is available to all Special Care Home staff.

As a Special Care Home Champion, education and learning resources are available through spaltc.ca.

Explore the available SPA-LTC education and resources designed to support a palliative approach in Special Care Homes.

SPA-LTC is planning upcoming learning opportunities for Special Care Home Champions to support continued learning, connection, and the application of a palliative approach in Special Care Homes.
